The AI operating system for business lenders
Take the manual work out of the file.
Improve your credit performance with an AI analyst.

Meet Sphera
Your AI assistant
Every application in one view
Stage and status on one board
Every live file, what stage it sits at, and the one thing it is waiting on.
Stalled files surface themselves
A file that has stopped moving rises before the borrower stops answering.
Your team works the same file at once
No passing it down the line
Analyst, credit officer and underwriter work the same file at the same time instead of waiting their turn.
Every change lands immediately
No file locks, no stale copy, and no version of the file that only one person can see.
A borrower portal in your brand
Your name on it, not ours
White-labeled end to end, so an applicant never meets a third party mid-application.
It adapts to the product
A working capital file and an equipment file ask different questions. One portal handles both.
An assistant that collects documents and lifts conversion
It does the chasing
Requests, reads and verifies statements, tax filings and bank data, and follows up until the file is complete.
Fewer applications abandoned
Most files die waiting on paperwork, not on credit. An applicant who is followed up with finishes.
Connected to your data sources
Accounting, banking, bureau, registry
Accounting systems, bank transaction data, commercial bureau files and corporate registry records, read where you already have access.
Inside the tools you use
Agents work between your systems rather than replacing them.
Spreading, handled
Statements in, spread out
A PDF from the borrower's accountant becomes a normalized spread. Nobody on your team retypes it.
Every adjustment shows its work
Owner compensation, related-party rent, one-time items. Each one is named and defensible, so your credit committee can argue with it.
Your credit policy, running as decision flows
Written by your credit team
Rules your credit team can change and test against past files, with no engineering queue.
The decision stays yours
Sphera processes and recommends. Approval stays with your team.
Frequently asked questions from business lenders
Sphera Credit is an AI operating system for business lenders: banks, credit unions and non-bank lenders that make commercial loans to small and mid-sized businesses. It covers origination, underwriting, credit risk and servicing. Before closing, AI agents collect the borrower's documents, verify the entity and search for liens, spread financial statements and tax returns, build the global cash flow, draft the credit memo and prepare closing documents. After closing, they do the work a loan servicing team does today: they keep the tickler of what each borrower owes the lender and when, request financial statements, tax returns and compliance certificates as they come due, test covenants and borrowing base certificates, track insurance certificates and lien filings before they expire, such as UCC continuations in the United States and PPSA registration renewals in Canada, and draft annual reviews and line of credit renewals. The lender's credit team reviews the work and makes every credit decision.
Sphera Credit supports business loans that need hands-on underwriting: term loans, lines of credit, equipment finance and working capital loans. That includes government-guaranteed loans, such as SBA 7(a) and SBA 504 loans in the United States and Canada Small Business Financing Program (CSBFP) loans in Canada, and member business loans at credit unions.
No. Sphera Credit can run origination end to end as the lender's loan origination system, or its AI agents can work on top of the loan origination system, core banking system and CRM a business lender already uses, reading from those systems and writing updates back to the same records. Sphera Credit supports both paths and recommends the first to lenders who are ready to redesign how the work gets done, because systems built before agentic AI were never designed for AI agents to work in them.
Sphera Credit's AI assistant requests each document on the lender's checklist, such as financial statements, business and personal tax returns, bank statements, the debt schedule, and accounts receivable and payable agings. It reads each document on arrival, flags what is missing or unreadable, and follows up with the borrower until the file is complete.
Yes. Sphera Credit's agents verify the borrowing entity against corporate registry records and search for existing liens: UCC filings in the United States, PPSA registrations in Canada and the RDPRM in Quebec. Each result is saved to the file, and anything that needs a second look is flagged for the lender's team.
Yes. Sphera Credit's loan processing reads financial statements and business tax returns, including Forms 1120 and 1065 in the United States and T2 returns in Canada, and spreads them in the lender's own Excel model. Each adjustment is named, such as owner compensation, related-party rent or a one-time item, and each figure is tied to the page it came from, so the credit committee can check the spread against the source.
Yes. Sphera Credit's agents build the global cash flow across the borrower, its related entities and its guarantors, using business and personal tax returns and personal financial statements. They calculate the ratios the lender's credit policy calls for, such as DSCR and global DSCR, fixed charge coverage and debt-to-EBITDA, to the lender's own definitions.
Yes. Sphera Credit's agents read accounts receivable agings and test the borrowing base certificate against the lender's terms for the line of credit. They flag differences, such as a concentration in one customer, for the lender's team to review.
Yes. Sphera Credit's agents draft the credit memo from the spread, the cash flow analysis and the lender's credit policy, with each figure tied to its source page and the policy exceptions listed. Once the lender approves the loan, agents prepare the closing documents from the approved terms for the lender's team to review.
Yes. For government-guaranteed loans, Sphera Credit's agents assemble the loan package against the lender's checklist for each program, including SBA 7(a) and SBA 504 in the United States and the Canada Small Business Financing Program (CSBFP) in Canada. They collect the required documents and confirm that each item is in the file. The lender remains responsible for eligibility and for the credit decision.
Yes. After closing, Sphera Credit's AI agents keep the tickler for each loan: what the borrower owes the lender and when. They request updated financial statements, tax returns and compliance certificates when they come due, recalculate each covenant from the new figures and flag any breach to the lender's team. On lines of credit, they test each borrowing base certificate against the accounts receivable aging. They track insurance certificates and lien filings before they expire, such as UCC continuations in the United States and PPSA registration renewals in Canada. They also draft annual reviews and line of credit renewals for sign-off.
Sphera Credit ties every figure an agent extracts to the page it came from and records every agent run step by step: what the agent read, what it did and why. Before an agent works on live files, the lender's team replays it in AI Agent Studio on cases the team has already handled and scores how it behaves. The lender also sets a level of autonomy for each action an agent can take: run automatically, require human approval every time, or be blocked completely.
No. The lender's credit policy runs as decision flows that its own credit team writes, tests and versions. Files that fall outside the credit box are routed to the lender's underwriters or to AI agents that gather and analyze more information. Sphera Credit prepares the file and the recommendation, approval stays with the lender's team, and every agent run is recorded step by step.
Sphera Credit pricing is tailored to each business lender and has two parts: an implementation fee and an ongoing platform fee. The implementation fee depends on the scope of the rollout, because Sphera Credit's team works alongside the lender on both the technical setup and change management. The platform fee is outcome-based: it follows the loan volume processed on the platform, so it scales with the size of the lender's operations.
Sphera Credit encrypts client data in transit and at rest, and limits access with role-based permissions, single sign-on and multi-factor authentication. Client data is never used to train AI models. For Canadian lenders, Sphera Credit stores data in data centres in Montreal and runs AI inference in Montreal as well, so documents, prompts and AI responses stay in Canada. For US lenders, Sphera Credit stores data in data centres in the United States and runs AI inference there as well, so documents, prompts and AI responses stay in the United States. Every lender can choose the region where its AI inference runs.
